Here are some quick news from Mental Discipline. While the work on the full-length album is now closing to its final stage, you can listen to the recently released mixes from Alexandr, Mental Discipline‘s mastermind. The first one is a mix done for the Norwegian futurepop project Spektralized released on My Needs EP. The second one was done for the German Head-less for the massive charity compilation Electronic Saviors.
Moreover, two more mixes are to be released in the nearest months. These are works for Sharon Next and Unity One, so you can expect more treats for your ears!

Here’s a live footage of Unity One performing at the Ukrainian CyberFront festival (with VNV Nation as a headliner). For those who still don’t know, Unity One is a side project of Rush from Alpha Point and his friend Mike Encore. At the present moment they are working on their debut maxi-single (to be released, well, you know where )

The tracklist consists of several songs including the hit-opener of the Synthematika Three compilation, Infrared, and a cover of Neuroticfish‘s I Don’t Need The City.

The Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Leipzig (Germany) has become a real Mecca for any dark scene adept out there. Moldavian Electro band Alpha Point was able to win over both the readers and jury of Sonic Seducer magazine as well as the entire A&R department of Out Of Line Music with the highly catchy mix of Future Pop, Trance and light Industrial influences of their song “High Like The Angels” which consequently won them first place at the magazine’s the Battle Of The Band contest. Now, the group’s eagerly anticipated debut album is complete, fittingly titled after the song that won them the contest, and Alpha Point have not only kept the high standard of their first offering, they have surpassed it. After many protagonists of the Future Pop have moved on to other styles, the Moldavian band celebrates the genre in its purest form, without falling into the trap of sounding like a carbon copy of the days of yore. “High Like The Angels” sounds big, modern and addictive: intelligent Club tunes that will work in and outside of the disco!
